Challenge:
I would like to purpose a new challenge: Mulder and Scully both become Immortals (either just before, or after Scully's cancer), they are trained by Duncan MacLeod and continue to investigate the X-Files. The challenge is to rewrite an X-Files episode, and set it in the Highlander universe, where Mulder and Scully are Immortal. How would the episode be different, being Immortal, neither one of them would end up in a hospital! Would they encounter evil Immortals all the time? Would Scully's family, or the Lone Gunmen, find out about their being Immortal? What about Cancerman, or the Conspiracy, how would they deal with an Immortal Mulder and Scully? All I ask is that, if anyone tries this challenge, to stay as close AS POSSIBLE to the X-Files story line, and have fun doing it! If anyone wants to give this a try, please e-mail me! |

stumped. In the story I'm writing, Methos is a Star Trek-like captain, with his own ship and his own set of problems. His wife who he hasn't see in 400 years is back, but it turns out she is the slave of one of the many hostile aliens Methos (Name: Capt. Alexander J. Deveraux), is encountering. Hospital" that features the Cassadine family. The Cassadines were Russian royalty who were forced to flee their country many years ago and take up residence in Greece. It would be interesting if either Methos or Duncan assisted them in their escape. Which leads to present day Port Charles were the Immortals arrive to help the young Greek Prince Nikolas Cassadine escape the clutches of his wicked grandmother Helena. |

Methos to death, right? And there is Cassandra, a character I would love to see more in Fan Fiction. The problem is just how in the world can we bring them together and settle the big issues between them? Okay, okay, now you think, bah, we had that a thousand times before. And here is the Challenge:
Vampire Slayer and Highlander, it has to contain Methos, Cassandra, Buffy and Spike, I want a lot of heartbreak (maybe a little physical harm, but nothing really serious) and bring them together at least, that means Buffy and Spike, what I consider the REAL challenge, and Methos and Cassandra. You might kill any other character if it pleases you. (But a funeral is NOT actually a good place for a first date). Let your imagination take charge. |

HL:TR, but I think it had possibilities. And yes, I know that there have been a couple of stories that take up where DOA left off, but there aren't any where Nick and Amanda *didn't get back together. Immortals can hold grudges for a long time, and I can see Nick as the type who holds a grudge. He should meet some of the other HL characters. I'd love to see Methos and Joe, but I'd also like to see some of the minor characters like Robert and Gina. I'm working on one myself, but I'd like to see one by someone else too. Gen fic, please. |

Frank and his daughter, Jordan. A lead takes her to Seacouver, where she finds out that Frank was a witness to a beheading, and a name he gave her was Adam Pierson. As she delves further into this mystery, her life is put in danger when to get to Frank, she must solve the murders. And to solve the murders - puts her in the path of the immortals and their deadly game. Wouldn't mind if there was a romance between her and Methos. ;) |

Trigun, which was entitled Diablo. I was just wondering if any Trigun/Highlander fanatics out there just might write a story involving both series, and I mention Diablo because we get to see Vash's dark side in this one. This made me wonder: what if someone wrote a more complete ending to this episode in which Duncan (who has also faced his own darkness) meets Vash and has a conversation with him? SOOOOOO here is my challenge: Choose a female character- must be older then 1000, this character wants to challenge herself and show to the world and to herself that she can do anything- so she joins the army... I'll let you choose what part ( I would recommend the navy seals but then it would look to much like a G.I. Jane crossover-but do whatever you want) she gets in and of course has some trouble. she should be attacked by at least one immortal who has been after her for centuries, and of course there is the possibility of people she knows in the army finding out about her... |

Andromeda just now. In the second episode, one of the main characters came back from the dead. I thought "What if humans weren't the only Immortals in the Universe?" The Immortal M.I.B.'s could sense the Immortal aliens and vice-versa. The only thing is that alien and human Quickenings are not compatible. The only non-M.I.B. immortals that know about aliens are the Horsemen (if it's pre-4th season) and Cassandra. Zeist may be used but human Immortals came from Earth. Any rating may be used. One thing only--no slash. M/F situations can be used. |

Michael Weyer, which x-over Highlander/X-Files/Forever Knight. I would like to see more stories set in this universe, on June 14th, and July 23rd, I posted two possible story ideas. Here is one more. A Highlander/X- Files/J.A.G x-over. JAG lawyers Lt. Commander Rabb, and Lt. Colonel Sarah MacKenzie join with Immortal F.B.I. agents Mulder and Scully to investigate a strange killing at a Naval base. There they meet Rabb's old partner, Lt. Meg Austin, who is now an Immortal. Together, they face off against an evil Immortal who could possible trigger a major war. Also, Lt. Colonel MacKenzie discovers that she too, is an Immortal. I'll leave the details to anyone who wants to try it, if anyone does please e-mail me. Thank you. |

time, but I don't feel particularly moved to write it, so maybe it will spark another author's interest. A crossover, Highlander the Series with the X-Files, starting from the point of view of the X-Files Mulder and Scully. Mulder and Scully get called to the Northwest on a case of mysterious meteorological phenomena: brief lightening prompting power outages and explosions. Such phenomena seem to occur often in conjunction with the appearance of the occasional decapitated body. As the investigation continues, Mulder begins to suspect that in _all_ instances beheading has taken place, only someone is snatching the headless bodies and disposing of them--but why? And who are these people at every level of government and seemingly on every street corner wearing the same suspicious tattoo and trying their best to frustrate this case? Enter the Watcher Organization, and Joe Dawson. The story would deal with the Watchers trying to avoid the two agents and yet still carry on watching, also with Duncan, et al. trying to avoid not only the Watchers but also the FBI. Use whatever characters you like, only be sure to make it good and dangerous for the Watchers. |

Challenge 1: I have gone through the archives of stories and have, until now, only encountered ONE crossover with The Crow. I would like to see more. An Highlander/The Crow (the movie or the TV show). If you take this challenge, please do tell me what are your ideas and e-mail me with the title of the story if and/or once you finish it. I'd appreciate it. Challenge 2: A humorous fiction involving Sabrina the Teenager Witch. times, an idea I tried to write about but ended up disappointed at my lack of fanfic writing skills. I gave up on the story but the main idea remained. And I want to challenge the wonderful authors around to dwell on these ideas. Now, to the subject at hand. We all know Methos claims everything before he took his first head 5000 years ago is a blur. He can't remember much of anything. Well, then... I have a question: What if the head Methos took 5000 years ago was not his first one? Let us take it from there. Methos may be older than he thinks. How much of his past has he lost? Just this part already makes for a good story but my original idea ran deeper. Let us now dwell on the origins of Immortals. Where did they come from, who was the first, how do they breed? Someone with a good imagination might pull this out so, lend me your hears. I challenge you to write of Methos as the first Immortal. Not just the oldest, but the first. Yes. Moreover, he was born between 15000-12000 years ago in the city of Atlantis. To a good imagination, extrapolating on the society of Atlantis is a challenge. How he discovers this, how he realizes and remembers how Immortals came to be, how he and his friends react to these revelations, it is up to you. Please, include Duncan, Joe, and even Amanda and Connor MacLeod (and as many originals you want), make it rated R or less, and e-mail me saying if you are going to take this challenge. I would really like to see a story such as this. |

What if Buffy were to be faced with an evil immortal. Now I know there are some like that out there, but I would prefer it if there were no good immortals out there to help her, nor any of the Scooby gang that are immortal. Pre-immortal is fine, but no immortals. The gang is then forced to face this enemy that keeps coming back and they have no idea what an immortal is or how to deal with one. Buffy's Watcher council can be in no way connected to the Watchers from Highlander. They have to deal with the situation on their own. |

It was actually started as a betting pool between God and Lucifer. They created a bunch of immortals and they and the other angels, fallen or otherwise placed wagers on who would win. Why aren't all the immortals put on earth at the same time? Easy, it's like when you pick players in a draft, so many beings betting and picking the champions takes a long time. And the Gathering. That's when everyone has chosen. Could be an amusing story. See how Methos reacts after winning? |

If you read crossovers I'm sure that you've seen Crossovers between Highlander and Buffy. Usually these stories have Buffy, Willow, Xander, etc turning out to be an Immortal.

One idea that comes to mind is that the "filing system" of an immortal is different enough that reading is difficult. Perhaps PSI Corps is held in check by The Watchers by some means. three stories by Michael Weyer ("Today Is The First Day Of The Rest Of Eternity","Vengeance Never Dies","First Time Out"), which crosses over Highlander with the X-Files and Forever Knight. This story crosses all that with one more show, Law & Order. The Immortals Mulder and Scully go on a case to New York and meet up Det. Lennie Briscoe, Det. Eddie Green, Lt. Anita Van Buren, and ADA Abbie Carmichael. Carmichael turns out to be an immortal, and Briscoe and Van Buren know about her secret. During the investigation, Briscoe, Carmichael, and Van Buren reveal one more surprise to the FBI pair, an Irish Pub called "THE ENTERAL FLAME", which is owned and operated by a woman named Kat, who is a vampire. In fact, most of the employee's and customers are vampires, as well as immortals. Former ADA Claire Kincaide who is now a vampire (having been brought across by Kat following her auto accident) now works at the pub under a different name. Briscoe and Kat are long time friends and Kat often helps Briscoe during his investigations. Briscoe's former partner Rey Curtis found out about immortals and vampires, but agreed to keep it all secret. Det. Green does'nt know about any of this yet, but during the story he is going to find out Duncan, Amanda, Richie, or even Matt Connors could even get in on the act. This sounds like a real winner. If anyone takes up this challenge, please let me know. |

anyway I would like to read more strange first time stories that do not pertain to the ep. of the highlander series... I like things that are strange and different like ... What if.. either Mac or Methos were changed into a NORMAL human being .. that would be quite bad.. esp. for Methos because that would mean dying real soon in his terms.. how would this get fixed?? | Challenge: I am a huge Star Trek and Highlander fan.
Jean-Luc Picard is now an Admiral. He then meets a shadowy figure who we later find to be Methos. Picard in the course of his duties discovers our immortal friends in old federation pictures, records etc he finds out that Methos is the mover behind the federation, and runs starfleet intelligence etc (which happens to use the old watcher symbol). Confrontations abound, secrets come out (horseman, Methos's single-handed role in creating the federation). It should be interesting to see the interaction between these two characters (please no slash), Picard's self- riteous nature and the ruthlessness of Methos. |

A lot of writers loved to write about how Methos changed from being "Death on a Horse" to the modern day Methos we know now. What if the present day Methos, somehow turned back into the Horseman? 1) I would like for someone to try to do a series of stories about Watchers and how they deal with learning about Immortals and Watchers. I would also like these stories to be first person and collected by someone because they are afraid that the watchers are going to be dismantled from the inside.(what would happen if the Watchers were ever discovered.) These would highlight the good the bad and the ugly of the Watchers and their laws. 2) I would like a Stargate Highlander crossover where one of the SG members, (Not necessarily SG-1) is a Watcher and is confronted by Hammond et al, when everything about a mission isn't adding up. How does he deal with being a Watcher while in the SGC? Who does he report to and how in a closed facility? Are his orders different than any ordinary Street Watcher? The other rule is, they have to discover the Immortal Homeworld. It is lifeless now but still leaves them puzzling. The Trefoil must be on the homeworld so that the SG teams will question the Watcher. I am trying the same thing. |

What if a well-meaning but misguided immortal surgeon (doesn't have to be an immortal) ran an organ ring? What if he/she discovered immortals organs greatly improved the health of there recipient? One of our heroes somehow (I have an idea, but this will be your story) discovers what is happening to countless immortals. This sounds something like the hunters, but with a different moral twist. Any character you enjoy writing about is fine with me. I love Methos stories, but believe me I realize to is hard to write with a main character you don't prefer. So have a time with it, and if you want to contact me I have lots of ideas. I have tossed this story around so much I easily have a dozen takes. from the point of view of the parallel universe, what if DM had never existed... (the fight with DM and M never really happened so Methos is not dead)... I would love to see this world continue on for a while longer ... those still alive that we know of are Joe, Kronos, Methos, James H, Tessa... but all the people Duncan killed may still be alive (ex Kalas) I love Methos so he should be a main character but big time no slash between him and Kronos (big bad no no * LOL*) I think it would be a story about the ending of the war between the immortals and the watchers (with Methos killing Hortan of course) and maybe Methos becoming good again??? please let it be smartly writen and long I just loved Winterborne but it does not have to be that long!!! kudos!!! |

| Challenge: In my town we've got this legend.
It's about Charlemangne, whom we call Keizer Karel and his visit to Olen. (a little town in Belgium) I think it would be a perfect story to fit Methos into. The problem is that I'm not very good with comedy, so I would like to challenge someone with a better sense of humor than me to write it. The original legend. Charlemagne and his court are travelling through the area close to Antwerps and they visit this little town called Olen. It's a farmers-community. He goes in this tavern and orders a beer. The owner comes up to him and hands him his drink but he's olding the ear in his right hand. Something that makes it harder for the emperor to accept the beer. After that Charlemagne orders him to make sure that the next time he visits, the pot (kind of like a glas made in metal but with an ear to hold on to) has to have two ears. Time goes by and the emperor visits Olen again. (supposedly 'cause the huntings really good in the area) He orders another beer and this time the owner holds the pot with both hands. Charlemagne again has trouble accepting the beer and tells the man to make sure that the next time the pot has three ears. OK Some more time goes by and once again Charlemagne visits Olen. He once again goes to that same tavern De Zwarte Stier (or the Black Bull in English) and asks for a beer. You'd think that since the pot now has three ears the emperor should be able to easily accept his drink. But once again the owner manages to ruin it by holding the third ear pointed towards himself. After that Charlemagne decided that enough was enough and just left. Even now bigger versions of the three pots are standing on the market right in front of town's hall(or whatever the name for the place where the mayor works is) and at least three cafe's around the square claim they own the original pot. Anyone think they can make something out of this? Believe me the original legend is really funny, I just tell it bad. And if you think this was stupid, you should hear the ones about the time they decided to move the church by pushing it or that other one about a cow that was sent up the church to eat a bush away from the roof. |

| Challenge: Okay, here's a long challenge. I recently had some ideas
wandering around my head for a story but I don't have neither the time or the talent to write it so, maybe someone out there might want to pick the idea up and write the story. It requires some knowledge in greek mythology and lots of imagination... Here it goes: The Gods existed during the Ancient Greece Time period and they still exist though they have been cast down by the one and true God of the Christians. During the time they ruled one Goddess decided to visit the mortal world where she fell in love with one Immortal (our dearest Methos, of course). He found out she was a Goddess sometime during their relationship but that didn't matter. Anyway, she had to left him (imagine a reason) and she didn't say good-bye (bad, bad goddess). Millennia after, during our days, she shows up again (imagine a reason - remember the Gods are not as powerful now as they used to be in their time - if you want ideas I have plenty of them) and... well... can millennia of sorrow and pain and hearbrake be cast out by eternal love? There must be flashbacks to ancient Greece (good ones) and you have to put a little action onto it (and in the end things must change... as I said I have the ideas but not the talent to write). I would really like the Goddess to be... tchan... tchan... Athena, the mighty Goddess of Wisdom and War ( I think it's war... I'm not as good at mythology as I would like to be...). | Challenge: Several challenges actually.
Highlander/Star Wars X-over. What would DM make of Ja Ja Binks, (if that's how you write his name!), and the obvious immortals/Jedi thing. Highlander/Terry Pratchett's Discworld X-over, or just a Highlander story in the style of Terry Pratchett. Highlander/great classics X-overs. DM meets Oliver Twist for example. Or DM involved in great SF - Asimov's Foundation series might make a good background. Anything of that nature. Highlander/Babylon 5 X-over. What happens if an immortal ends up in a shadow ship? Highlander/He-Man X-over. This would have to be either a joke or a children's story! I'm quite happy for Richie and Tessa to be alive, and it would be nice if it involved Charlie DeSalvo as well. I've only ever seen some of the first and second season of HL, (being a poor penniless student with no permanent access to a TV, alas), so I'm fairly indifferent to such characters as Methos and Cassandra and so on. I'm happy for them to be included, but I'd rather have DM, RR and Tessa. |

| Challenge: O.k. this is a weird one. I'd like to see the following
things in the story. 1) X-Over with Star Trek DS9. 2) All characters from both shows play roles in the story. For DS9 use Judzia Dax not Ezri Dax. And for Highlander I'm one of those poor people who just can't deal with the death of Richie so, he has to be there. 3) Methos is Julien Bashier. ( I told you it was weird ) 4) The characters from DS9 have to find out who and what Bashier really is. 5) Somthing bad happens to bring the major characters of the stroy together in a fight or somthing. For instance Q comes back and thinks it would be fun to resurect the Horseman or something. If anyone does do this challenge I would appriciate you e-mailing me to let me know. Thanks and happy writing. Oh and it might be kind of fun to have our resident theif on Highlander to try to steal something on DS9 and get caught by Odo only to be helped by the resident doctor who happens to be the oldest living immortal and her friend. |

| Challenge: I have many ideas for challenges. The following can be all
in one story, or in many different, I don't care. 1.Adam Pierson (as a teacher)/Buffy, but no one knows about his real self until something big goes down,then Methos leaves- but Buffy follows, leaving slayerettes confused. buffy returns, knowing the truth. 2. Richie has survived and goes to UCSunnydale, meets Buffy, gradually find out both secrets, Richie stays and helps.3. La Femme Nikkita/highlander crossover, preferably w/"Adam Pierson" involved somehow. Add Birkoff too. 4. Star Wars/Methos crossover. All of the above can be at any pt in time, and with any rating above PG-13. Also, tell me if u do do something about this! |

| Challenge: I would like to see a fanfic that is gen/pg13 with Benton
Fraiser and or either or both Rays (Vecchio or Kowalski). I don't care about the story line...it just must have the Methos, and very little Duncan. One can only stand so many boyscouts in one story. Thank you for your time! |
